Bozeman Highgate is a beautiful 'Manor House' ideally located with shopping, banking and a community all within a short distance. It is also close to doctor's offices and medical clinics. Outstanding views of the Bridger Mountains to the Northwest or the Gallatin and Madison Mountains to the south can be enjoyed from many of the apartments.

Beautiful architecture and landscaping are combined to create the magic that is this magnificent home. A curved driveway leads to the main entry under a Porte Cochere to keep you shaded or dry as you are dropped off at the front door. Comfortable chairs on the front porch offer the ideal location for watching the comings and goings of the day.

Inside, there is a two-story foyer accented in lightly stained maple that is as warm and inviting as a country inn. You are welcome to relax by the fireplace in the lobby living room, or join family or friends for coffee in the adjacent 'Yellowstone Bistro'. Attached to the Bistro is an activity kitchen where you can come at any time to bake cookies or join in an ice cream social. We throw birthday parties here, and serve fresh-baked cookies in the afternoons. Our Highgate Chef will offer a weekly cooking class in the Bistro for those who want to keep their culinary skills sharp! There is an outdoor patio just off the kitchen where we barbecue burgers and sit outside under the shade of the extra large market umbrellas on hot summer days.

Then there is the Bridger Mercantile, located right in The Manor. It is open daily for small incidentals - the items that are most frequently requested by our residents. These may include things such as greeting cards, small gifts for visiting grandchildren or great-grandchildren, gift-wrap, camera film, batteries, toothpaste, toilet paper, and candy.

The library facing the grand courtyard has large picture windows that invite the outside in. Comfortable chairs, stately furnishings, and good reading lights allow you to enjoy the excellent collection of large-print books that Highgate provides. You are also welcome to add some of your own favorite books to the library collection to share with other residents. There is generally a puzzle in progress to lure passersby to stop and spend some time at the puzzle table.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in our beautiful full-service dining room. Come and sit by the fireplace or find your place by the window in this warm wood-paneled dining room. And, on special occasions, you can enjoy the music being played on the grand piano. We also have tables specifically designed for those in wheelchairs, with lots of elbowroom and appropriate table height. Your guests are welcome to join you for a wonderful Highgate meal.

Our Guest apartment is available to provide your visiting family member or friend cozy overnight accommodations. It is tastefully furnished and has a large private bath and will be available to your visiting guest for a very nominal fee.

Activities designed for most interests

Our bus is available to take residents to medical appointments or shopping on scheduled days. Also, we plan scheduled outings - from exploring the Museum of the Rockies, to wandering through the many art galleries downtown, or shopping expeditions to the Gallatin Valley Mall. Other outings also include favorite seasonal events such as Shakespeare in the Park, the Sweet Pea Festival, the Taste of Bozeman, the Bozeman Christmas Stroll, and the Montana Winter fair.

In the TV lounge, you can watch your favorite shows with friends. A separate art deco style Movie Theater is located on the second floor. Here we hold movie nights on our large screen TV complete with hot buttered popcorn fresh from our old-fashioned popcorn stand. A separate Bingo Lounge on the third floor will offer regularly scheduled games that can get fast and furious!

There is a full service Hair Salon with a professional barber and hair stylist. A laundry room is located on both the first and second floors with free washers and dryers for our Assisted Living residents to use at any time. (Our third floor apartments each have their own laundry area in their suite.) Each laundry room also has an iron and an ironing board set up at all times, and a table area for folding laundry.

Each Highgate apartment has a lovely full shower but in addition, there are two Spa Tub rooms, each with their own unique feature. So, if your muscles are aching and you want a Spa bath, our easy-entry Whirl-tub is available for you with assistance by our staff. Or, if you just want to soak in a deep bubble bath, we have a corner soaker tub in a beautifully appointed Spa-like setting. The Wellness Room is outfitted with some fitness equipment and a Physical Therapy area. So, you do not even have to leave the building if you are working with a Physical Therapist! Our Activity Director will also assist you in fitness activities here. We plan events for every taste!
