Bellingham Highgate is a handsome 'Manor House' conveniently located near Bellis Fair Mall, Costco, and St. Joseph's Hospital. Located in a residential neighborhood, Highgate is convenient to banking, churches, shopping, doctors and medical clinics, and community events. Many of our residents enjoy the weekly performances at the Mt. Baker Theatre, or activities at the Senior Center.
The 'Manor' at Highgate is a smaller apartment community and because of the cozy size it's easier to move about the building for meals and activities and to meet and interact with other residents.
Residents have a choice of a spacious studio, alcove, one bedroom, or one bedroom apartment suite complete with kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave and a 3 piece bathroom with a large walk-in shower. You are free to furnish and decorate your new apartment as you wish and small pets are welcome so your new surroundings will immediately feel like home.
We provide a continuum of care that can accommodate changing needs of a resident:
- Assisted living that specializes in Memory Care for those older adults with declining memory impairments needing help with activities of daily living and limited nursing services
- Enhanced Care for the declining Senior needing full assistance and support
- Our early stage Memory Care Program gives peace of mind that your loved one will receive loving attention and reassurance. while remaining in Assisted Living
- Our secure Memory Care Cottage provides personalized support and the security needed as memory declines
Activities designed for all interests
 If you love gardening or just enjoy sitting outdoors, our gardener's courtyard may be just the answer. You'll love the full kitchen in the Activity Room. It's perfect for entertaining family and friends with plenty of comfortable seating for family potlucks and birthdays. And there's an oven for baking cookies with those special grandchildren. Our staffed supervised cooking club enjoys preparing a special luncheon on occasion and even our men join in! From impromptu sing-a-longs at our Grand Piano to a trip down memory lane with a new found friend, there is always something interesting to do at Highgate
For a more sedate and peaceful activity try our beautifully appointed library lounge. Just lean back in a comfortable wing chair and enjoy the large-print books that Highgate provides by a variety of good authors. Of course you can always pamper yourself in the lovely Highgate Beauty/Barber Shop or just relax and lose those aches and pains in the whirlpool tub. There are plenty of comfortable conversation lounge areas scattered throughout the building or just curl up in front of our cozy fireplace alongside our Highgate cat and visit or relax in the living room.
