Emergency Pull Cords Pull cords are located in both bathrooms and both bedrooms of all Villa homes. This is electronically connected to an alert panel and our staff paging system in the Manor. Staff members will then respond according to Highgate emergency call procedures.
The Two-Way Emergency Voice Community System Your Villa home is equipped with a two-way voice communication system. When an emergency pull cord is activated in your home, the Highgate staff will respond by pushing a button and speaking with you to help in resolving an emergency situation.
Morning Check-In System In addition to the emergency pull cords and voice communication systems, each Villa home is connected to the Highgate electronic "check in system." When Villa residents get up in the morning they press a button located in the hallway that tells our staff at Highgate that all is well. If this button is not pressed by a previously arranged time, then a staff member will call the resident to make sure they are well and, if necessary, put Highgate emergency response in action.
